how to wear patterned tights

As the temperature drops many of us wish to adorn our legs with tights to make skirt wearing still possible whilst it’s chilly. So it’s a good thing fantastically patterned and textured tights are ‘in’ this season.

It’s not just the retail shops that love the patterned legwear, but the runway too. Textured and patterned tights were huge on the catwalks.

So how would one wear this trend, as understandably, it’s difficult to get right? Here are some tips.

* Pair with coordinated sweater dresses and ankle boots
* The skater dress is HUGE this season, give yours a rock and roll edge
* A pink skirt could take on a vintage look with lacy cream tights
* At work? Opt for the again-fashionable 1940s style tights with a seam down the back

We hope these tips have helped you be able to wear the patterned tight trend.

Style: Statement scarves to keep cosy

As we’re half way through autumn and the winter winds begin to set upon us, there is only one way to stay cosy and stylish:  By grabbing a statement scarf!

A gorgeous, thick wool scarf will help keep winter away, yet look glam by pulling your outfit together. Remember: the chunkier the scarf, the better!

Layer your statement scarves over winter knits.

Here are my three designer favourites from Selfridges:

Gorgeous fairytale dolls’ house…

I am totally in love with these dolls’ houses, intricately made, they’re so fabulous. I’m not going to be able to afford one for a few years at least - but it’s the sort of thing I’d love to own one day.

I’m bookmarking it so I can find it when that day comes…

I want to live there too - absolutely fantastic!

Bake it in a Cake… Cool website!

I stumbled on this fab website today called ‘Bake it in a cake.’ It’s a collection of stuff that the owner has decided to bake into a cake. Each blog post comes with photos and recipes, so you can replicate her creation.

It’s fab!

Rainy day cupcakes! I couldn’t bake real rain into a cupcake, but some blue food coloring and sprinkles almost do the trick! New baking magazine with free bakeware

A couple of days ago, I was really excited to find out that there’s a new baking magazine about to be released, called ‘Baked and Delicious.’

The first issue is just 99p and you get 6 free silicone muffin/cupcake cases.

What a bargain!

I can’t wait to get the magazine - I’m always looking for new recipes to try. If the magazine is good, I’ll happily expand my collection of silicone bakeware and buy the magazine every fortnight.

New baking magazine with free silicone bakeware!

This morning I saw an advert for a new baking magazine, which comes with free items of silicone bakeware each week.  The new magazine is called “Baked and Delicious’ and is published fortnightly.

Baked and delicious

The magazine looks fab, plus it promises lots of great recipes to try.  The first edition is a bargain at only 99p too, especially when you find out that it comes with six free silicone cupcake cases.  I’ve decided that if I like the magazine, I will subscribe – even though after the first edition the price shoots up. If the free bakeware is good quality stuff, the increase in price will be worth it.  I will be able to build up my collection of silicone bakeware AND delicious recipes at the same time.

Here’s a video that talks about the magazine and the bakeware.  The video also lists several reasons why silicone bakeware is useful:
